Exhaust gas heat exchanger

Our heat exchanger to extend the performance
Many plant operators face the challenge of maintaining the efficiency of their own biogas plant. The problem here is that the required output is not available, especially when there is a high demand for heat, which is why a convenient solution is needed for using other forms of heat. This makes it possible to use the plant for district heating, residual heat or many other applications and to improve efficient operation.

How to use the exhaust gas heat exchanger
Exhaust gas with higher temperatures consumes more energy. For this reason, it is important to cool the exhaust gases at the same time and to rely on a structured concept. This makes it possible to increase the efficiency in the machine and to extend the previous 50 %. The material used makes a good contribution to this, so that the thermal conductivity of the graphite ensures more efficient use. The material properties also lead to more comfort at this point and enable a significantly higher heat transfer rate.

Thanks to their small size, the heat exchangers can be easily integrated into existing piping systems at any time. The installation does not take up much time, which means that they can be used quickly and conveniently. At the same time, the small size reduces the amount of cold entering from outside, which means that the entire system contributes to energy-saving use. This has a particular effect on the cooling of the gas in order to fundamentally expand the applicability.

Wide range of applications thanks to the heat exchanger
The possible applications of the exhaust gas heat exchanger are also quite varied. It enables the gas to be cooled to temperatures of a maximum of 120 to 130 degrees, as exhaust gas condensation would occur at this limit. For this reason, the classic stainless steel heat exchangers are designed to cool to a maximum of 200 or even 250 degrees in order to avoid the occurrence of corrosion with absolute certainty. The higher the gas temperature remains, the safer the exhaust gas heat exchanger can be used.

In this respect, our plant pursues the goal of preventing corrosion and at the same time improving energy recovery. The use of such systems is possible both within the fermenter heating and in the drying plant as well as for use in the district heating network. Based on the different industries, the applications are seemingly unlimited, which means that there are many possibilities for the use of the recovered heat.

Durable components for exhaust gas cooling
Differences based on the energy recovery result from the different designs. The different sizes are only one of the numerous features that make the systems suitable for biogas plants. If desired, several power blocks can be connected in parallel to maximise the power output according to your own requirements. This makes the system an excellent addition to enable higher heat recovery.

In this way, the exhaust gas heat exchanger enables efficient exhaust gas cooling. At the same time, the components are extremely corrosion-resistant due to their high-quality production and are characterised by a compact implementation. The pressure loss within the application is also as low as possible, making it easy to extend sustainability and efficiency. Once the system has been integrated within the selected area, there aren't any problems with successful utilisation of the energy being pumped.

If you want to avoid corroding around the exhaust gas transfer, the heat exchanger is the right choice for you.
